Announcing the BIGGEST Tiny Whoop event of the UK calendar! Back for the 6th year, we are getting ready to welcome tip top Tiny Whoop pilots from across the globe to Birmingham for this full weekend of FPV racing fun!

All the planning, work, negotiation, building and volunteer effort all comes together today to find out who are our three class finalists and winners of this year’s Birmingham International Race Days Tiny Whoop event.

I got back to the whoop haus after setting up, later than planned. I think I got 5 hours in bed, but nerves and the intermittency of the van heater meant I got much less. The alarm went off 10 mins after I was awake, my internal clock anxious to get going...

All 48 of our pilots have neatly qualified themselves into 3 classes; Hobbyist, Advanced and Elite and today we find out who is the fastest!

It's the Germans fault after all, they only turned up at midnight and it was so good to see these international friends we've made that we stayed up talking far too long. And then even later thrashing our quads around the WhoopHaus track.

Everything finally in the van, there was only one thing left to do - finally assembly of the trophies. Parts had been 3D printed and then spray painted earlier in the week but not fully dried yet. This was the last chance and as tired as I was, they had to be done ready for the big day…

Why on earth would a garden centre be making breakfast? Well this must be a UK oddity but honestly, Saturday mornings at a garden centre are the BEST PLACE to get breakfast.

Well all the planning is done and the start of the long Whoop weekend is here. Jesse P, Mr Tiny Whoop, got a proper British drizzly welcome stepping out at Heathrow this morning.

We just about snuck in the first ever BIRD in 2020 before Covid hit, so after being pandemic-ed off for a year we are finally back with a bang in 2022!!!

The day of reckoning had arrived.  Facebook ad’s posted. Event showing people coming from as far away as Germany. Prizes were organised and winners cup engraved. The race gates were positioned, LEDs illuminated.
