Hampton Beer Festival 2026

This is such a great time! You've gotta come and check out this event next year!

Now in its 11th year, this community comes together to put on a fantastic beer festival. Everyone gets involved drinking beer to support local and national charities and the 1st Hampton Hill Sea Scouts.

This is my old scout troop and so it holds a dear place in my heart. I make a point of getting involved as much as I can because the whole event is run by volunteers. Play make it possible by organising everything, setting it all up, running the beer festival for three sessions and then packing it all away again.

I arrived to help set up but they were mostly done, so the first thing I did was whoop the festival!

After three busy sessions, serving hundreds of pints, my beer knowledge was adequately refreshed. However, I was knackered. As the doors closed, it was time for the volunteers team to get refreshed by emptying the barrels of any remaining beer. And in true scouting style, they did their best!

It was a very successful event overall raising lots of money for the charities and supporting the Sea Scouts group with their community activities. Well done everyone, see you next year!
