... or iFPV for short, is the central place to find out about all the FPV racing events up and down the UK

This fantastic website has been lovingly custom coded by our local Druid to support drone racing in the UK. It integrates all the clubs events into one calendar, manages your membership of the BDRA, helps event organisers manage pilot details, and lets us share event results points all in one place!

When you select “Sign Up”, you'll be asked to fill in some basic contact details

What’s My Callsign?

This is the name you will take as a pilot, for example; “Maverick” that Tom Cruise’s character was named in Top Gun.

It’s the pseudonym or fantasy name you give yourself in the FPV world. This is how other pilots will refer to you, how your position in races will be reported, how the race director will refer to you and how you will become known across the UK, as an FPV pilot.

If you are a talented pilot this name could become quite famous in the FPV world for your freestyle tricks, race wins or youtube videos. So choose something memorable, but not offensive or rude. Maybe something you are already associated with. Alternatively, it could be something that looks made up, but is actually just a tongue in cheek complaint, eg; Mikewastaken or more legibly known as… Mike-Was-Taken

Once signed up, you’ll get an email to verify your account and check you are receiving iFPV’s messages.

Follow the link to complete the verification

You’ll get a success message

The first time you log in, you’ll be asked to accept the terms of use

Once this is done you’ll be presented with the iFPV Pilot Dashboard

Edit Profile

Here you can edit your profile and keep your iFPV data up to date. You can:

Change your name
Change your Callsign
Update your location
Email address
Date of Birth

It’s also where you can ensure your BDRA membership is linked to your iFPV account if you used a different email address.

You can update all your social accounts here to help promote any content you produce

Headshot & Avatar Images

These images are used by the BDRA and race directors to help promote you as a pilot and the events you attend. It makes live streams more interactive and relatable and links the person behind the goggles to the race results you achieve.

Please make sure

Your face is visible (no goggles down shots)
There are no lurid or offensive scenes in your images
You have the license to use the image

Insurance

It is highly recommended that you have insurance as a drone flyer.

Insurance protects you in the event that you accidentally do damage if you crash into a person or property. The cost is very cheap for a very high coverage so we think it’s vital (Just imagine the cost of repairing an Aston Martin if you accidentally dent their bodywork!)

Insurance is also available from other suppliers but some races will only allow you to compete if you have suitable insurance. You should check the details of the race and which insurances they accept.
