Everything finally in the van, there was only one thing left to do - finally assembly of the trophies. Parts had been 3D printed and then spray painted earlier in the week but not fully dried yet. This was the last chance and as tired as I was, they had to be done ready for the big day…

Why on earth would a garden centre be making breakfast? Well this must be a UK oddity but honestly, Saturday mornings at a garden centre are the BEST PLACE to get breakfast.

Well all the planning is done and the start of the long Whoop weekend is here. Jesse P, Mr Tiny Whoop, got a proper British drizzly welcome stepping out at Heathrow this morning.

... it was a good job I did because as soon as I turned around, I lost signal and dropped like a stone.

We just about snuck in the first ever BIRD in 2020 before Covid hit, so after being pandemic-ed off for a year we are finally back with a bang in 2022!!!

The day of reckoning had arrived.  Facebook ad’s posted. Event showing people coming from as far away as Germany. Prizes were organised and winners cup engraved. The race gates were positioned, LEDs illuminated.

The Mobular 6 turned up just in time for the International Race Day I hosted as my first big event. In future, this is what I’d like to do more of, finding cool venues and putting on special events for racers to fly and compete throughout the year.
